ART AND LIVING MAGAZINE CELEBRATES ITS
TWO -YEAR ANNIVERSARY BY SIGNING A
DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH INGRAM PERIODICALS
Art and Living To Host First Annual Art to Life Awards
(July 2007 - Los Angeles, CA) On the eve of its second anniversary, Art and Living magazine has signed a deal with Ingram Periodicals to distribute the publication to 657 Barnes & Noble stores throughout the nation. The deal officially brings the magazine to over 1000 locations nationwide, further solidifying its status in the art and design world.
"This is incredible," says Jeff Marinelli, Art and Living's publisher, "especially at such a key anniversary for us." The publication was also recently asked to participate in Art Basel, the international art show, in both Switzerland and Miami. Dedicated to creating a richer, more meaningful world through art and design, Art and Living has supported more than eight causes that have raised in excess of five million dollars for art and health-related organizations in the past year.
In August, Art and Living will hold its first annual Art to Life Awards at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. As the magazine is devoted to broadening the role that art plays in our day-to-day lives, Marinelli, was inspired to establish the awards to recognize people who best embody the spirit of Art and Living. "We have created these awards to honor those individuals in numerous disciplines who work day in and day out to bring art in all of its wonderful incarnations into our lives," said Marinelli.
The Art to Life Award will be bestowed upon four individuals for their significant contributions to the design profession, including John Finton of Finton Associates, Inc. for fine-living development; Janice Feldman of JANUS et Cie for furniture design; Richard Landry, AIA, of Landry Design Group, Inc. for architecture; and Barbara Lazaroff, ASID, of Imaginings Interior Design, Inc. for interior design. The private event will take place in the Poggenpohl showroom at the Pacific Design Center.
